My name is Alexine Puglisi and I am an Anglo-Sicilian freelance filmmaker based in Greater Manchester. 

Born from a culture of ‘cuntisti’, puppeteers, and hand gestures, I was raised on storytelling and art. I moved from Italy to Wales and then to England, rapidly adjusting in pursuit of my passion. I graduated July 2022 and attained a BA in Film Production with first-class honors at the University of Salford.  

 

I have been trained on industry-standard cameras such as the Arri Alexa, Varicam Super 35 [and LT],  EVA1, etc. 

My passion for storytelling has led me to write and direct my own short films, handling my own social media management and marketing, successfully raising funds for my independent ventures. However, I am flexible and have also covered a range of different positions. I have worked as a camera operator for the live broadcasting of festivals such as Manchester International Festival 2021 and Reminisce 2022 collaborating with the Oxyfire team. I have been a PA and a Floor Runner aiding smaller sets and more professional work environments alike.

Overall, my freelance work has allowed me to gain experience and become well-connected to like-minded filmmakers and artists. I bring my technical background to the table but I promise to balance it out with true chaotic Gen Z personality (I'm a 21 year old in denial).

 

My goal as an artist is to focus on authenticity and representation, showcasing new faces, stories, REAL experiences, and topical issues. Ultimately, I believe I would be a valuable asset as I would endeavor to work with your ever-changing and growing consumer base. 

 

I am able to offer a sound work ethic and professionalism, as well as a fresh perspective. I have drive and purpose, a thirst for knowledge, and an eagerness to learn. I am also ambitious and in constant search of new challenges and experiences. Read Less
