As a director, writer, creative producer and cinematographer, I collaborate with independent filmmakers, as well as non-profit, corporate and broadcast clients, including National Geographic, MTV, Facebook, Google, Frontline World, Kartemquin Films, Stanford University and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
My work has been broadcast widely on networks and digitally (including Netflix, HBO and PBS), and screened at festivals internationally (including Sundance, Slamdance, Tribeca, Toronto International Film Festival, and the San Francisco International Film Festival). In my recent role at KQED/PBS as producer and post production coordinator for the wildlife series Deep Look, I earned six regional Emmy Awards and three Society of Professional Journalists Awards in three years. I hold a Master’s degree in documentary film production from Stanford University, and was awarded a Fulbright scholarship in 2010 to research the Polish documentary film tradition.
 I was invited to present his film Exiled, about deported American military veterans to Representatives of US Congress in 2017 and was a contributing storyteller as part of Pop Up Magazine's 2017-2018 tours, presenting to sold-out audiences in LA, San Francisco, New York and Washington DC.
In a previous life, I earned a BA in Biology and worked as a biologist studying birds and seals in California. After film school I worked as an associate producer in the Program in Bioethics and Film at the Stanford Center for Biomedical Ethics. I am currently focused on stories that merge my curiosity and passion for the sciences with my decades of experience in documentary storytelling.
