I would like you to take a leap of faith and meet me. I am not from the HETV world, so you will not recognise my name, which is my strength, as I will bring a fresh perspective to your company.I started out in Short Films (‘I just want to Kiss you’ showcased Martin Freeman’s talent) progressing to two features with Film4 (The Low Down featuring Aidan Gillen & Tobias Menzies when they were still up and coming, and Paddy Considine in ‘Shane’s World’, an improvised 60 minute film directed by Shane Meadows about how to make films for nought). However, as my four young children were quite demanding and frankly feral I switched to producing high end commercials (working with directors: Daniel Wolfe ‘Catch me daddy’, Dawn Shadforth ‘Trust’) and music videos (Coldplay, Oasis, Taylor Swift). Shorter projects suited our family dynamic.Key Responsibilities:· Create budgets, production schedules and financial plans - I have shot extensively in Europe and the rest of the world throughout my career. I have a working knowledge of every continent and contacts there. I am adept at budgets and scheduling.· Relationships with high level crew - I have worked with Anthony Dodd Mantel in LA, Bruno Delbonnel in Argentina, Martin Ruhe in Cuba and Spain, Seamus McGarvie & Jeff Jur in the UK, Monika Lenczewska in Kyiv, Henry Braham in Spain & the UK, Peter Suschitzky in Holland, Spain and the UK. To name but a few DOPs. Designers such as Marcus Rowlands (UK) & Alison Dominitz (UK, Spain & Iceland).· As a hands on producer and mentor to my production team, I am a key point of contact and support.· I am used to checking and questioning contracts, clearances, logistics for Broadcasters & dealing with insurance claims.· I have always proactively employed a diverse work force, I think it is important to reflect the world we live in.· I am committed to creating as sustainable a production as is humanly possible. I physically collected and took the left over food to the homeless shelter in Camden after each day on Bridgerton.Ideal Candidate:· I have two Film Producer credits and two HETV Covid Supervisor credits - but hundreds of commercial and music video credits.· I am able to juggled multiple projects efficiently. For commercials we are often bidding in three different countries with all the nuances that that entails. DOPs, Designers and Directors may live in different continents, so clear communication is vital, as by the time we arrive in a country for the directors/tech recce we are already committed, so we have to make it work. I have an incredible eye for detail and problem solving.· I am a self starter. In the pandemic I helped set up the PPE gown making for the Royal Free, I don’t just sit around and wait.· I’m a good communicator and I work well as part of a team. I was the third Covid Supervisor on Bridgerton, the other two left in the prep, and I managed to create a working team, under the most difficult of circumstances at the beginning of the pandemic. I kept the production shooting, and the cast and crew safe. It is 10 months of my life, I will never get back, but I think it shows courage in the face of adversity.· As my CV shows I have shot internationally, and with commercials we are on the production throughout. So I have worked with most of the post houses, Framestore, The Mill, MPC, etc. I also understand how post production works, so am invaluable in production.
