Writer, editor, proof reader, activist, visual artist, singer-songwriter, producer, publisher, public speaker, citizen journalist.Contributor to the Encyclopedia of Caribbean Religions (University of Illinois Press, 2013).A key catalyst, with other founding members of Voices: Barbados Writers Collective. Also a catalyst, with my compatriots Professor Sir Hilary Beckles, Reverends Holmes Williams, Bishop Granville Wiliams, Rev. Sonia Hinds and other Caribbean and international academics, journalists, religious clerics, politicians and business people of significant contemporary cultural, political and spiritual initiatives and movements.Specialties
Public speaking, publishing, talent development, marketing, educational interventions (including through school workshops, interfaith dialogues and similar public and private consultations), poetry (writing and performance), singing and song-writing, news reporting, and related forms of community activism and advocacy.I typically engage with individuals and organizations (big and small) as an independent contractor, allowing for maximal responsiveness to their needs within the scope of their resources. One of the main projects I have worked on is a "capitalism reforming" campaign, with particular focus on American fast-food giant Domino's Pizza.Another, still in progress, is a socio-political rehabilitation project, originally focused on a human rights abuse petition against the government of Barbados, which I filed with the Organization of American States (OAS) in 2012 - because charity should start at home.Through the petition and a related public campaign, I hope to "rehabilitate" the deep-seated corruption that has long afflicted Barbados' organs of state and is frustrating the legitimate aspirations of the majority of Barbadians. The petition and campaign should also improve Barbados' foreign relations.Another current project is an online petition calling on Pope Francis to denounce the approximately 1900 year-long confusion of the unwritten New Covenant (uNC) with the written New testament (wNT).
That biological and wider scientific, gender interdependence based focus of that project meant that I was well positioned to make a significant contribution to discussions around gendered variability in COVID-19 outcomes for men and women, through my alternative COVID-19 causation narrative: https://www.cambridge.org/engage/coe/article-details/5fc99806bc95fd00186f9203.
