My name is Matt, I'm an award-winning writer of emotionally powerful genre films and TV shows.

I created and co-wrote PAUL DOOD'S DEADLY LUNCH BREAK, a dark comedy with a heart that was directed by Nick Gillespie and produced by Finn Bruce's Belstone Productions. It played at festivals through 2021, winning the Final Draft Screenwriters Award at SXSW, and seven awards (including Best Film, Best Screenplay and Best Comedy) at Toronto After Dark. It has been picked up by SKY as a SKY Original.

I've also written three produced shorts, one more feature, and two published short stories.

My latest project is THE SIN-EATER, is a gothic horror short set in 19th-Century mid-Wales, which I've developed with Kelly Holmes (ATTRITION, FAMILY PORTRAIT). Production was supported by funding from BFI Network, and we have just completed a successful crowd-funder for completion funds - the film should be finished in July.
