As an ambitious individual with a thirst for pursuing a career within the TV and Film industry, I have taken up numerous part time jobs throughout my full-time study in retail and hospitality, demonstrating my flexibility within this avenue and, equally, my passion for working with, and for, people. These six years of consistent work experience have reaffirmed my belief that the customer is the foremost aspect of any company. I'm both intrigued and stimulated by the roles within TV and Film production, as I look to extend my people skills, communication, leadership and teamwork abilities. I feel my analytical way of thinking in addition to my high degree of attention compliment my considerate, friendly and helpful attributes, making me a well-rounded, capable applicant. I feel these attributes equally reflect your companies belief of caring for your colleagues as much as you do your customers. Having the role of Welfare Officer for my Athletic Union at Exeter University enhanced my leadership skills profoundly as I was in charge of the welfare and distribution of welfare and confidentiality for over 100 welfare officers around 54 different sports clubs. As this role was dealing with mental health first hand, this not only advanced my sensitivity, listening and communication skills, this also made me an extremely approachable character for even the most sensitive of topics/issues. Working in retail has further proved that I want to continue working with people, which is exactly what this job is offering me. Furthermore, my degree being in Journalism and Communications has complimented the jobs I've done and developed these skills even more so as time has gone on.
