I’m an award-winning Film-maker, Director and Showrunner who loves making iconic films and working with others to achieve that goal for landmark and blue chip productions on NETFLIX, DISNEY+, NAT GEO, BBC, DISCOVERY.

Many of my productions have won awards – BAFTA, Wildscreen, Jackson Hole, Banff Rookie, Televisual Bulldog, along with many nominations including EMMY, Grierson, RTS.

My award-winning FEATURE DOCUMENTARY ‘Going Circular’ which I wrote produced and directed , interwove the stories of 4 pioneers whose vision of the cycles of nature brings positive hope for a better future. Produced with Oscar-winning team at Off the Fence this film was premiered at COP26 and won Grand Prix and Gold for ‘Best Environmental film’ at Cannes TV Festival.
 
DIRECTOR / PRODUCER / WRITER
I'm passionate about striking, magical imagery, and character-based narratives with an emotional tone and human touch. I have filmed in over 50 countries, leading big teams in tough places – among the only directors to film Cueva de los Crystales in Mexico and Hang son Doong in Vietnam.  I’m now directing Actors on long-form Feature-docs, Short-form Branded Content and Music Videos and looking to develop further in these areas.

SHOWRUNNER / SERIES PRODUCER
As an SP One Strange Rock [NGC / Disney+ /Netflix] was the most ambitious - a project I developed and Series Produced for Darren Aronofsky and Will Smith. I supervised blue-chip natural history sequences across the world - Lechuguilla caves, Mongolian Eagle hunters, Angel Falls and Dans Cave in the Bahamas boosing NGC into the streamer market. 

 As SHOWRUNNER, I devised the character-based format for the new 12-part series of DRAIN THE OCEANS for NGC /DISNEY+, now recently BAFTA and RTS nominated. I have the depth of experience to add value, make fast decisions and action strategies that get results quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively. I enjoy nurturing the team, supervising all aspects from script, style to delivery.   

One of my specialisms is VFX [including natural history creature-work]. I took creative lead for the VFX output for One Strange Rock, working with Framestore, a partnership I’ve recently continued while directing blue-chip creature-work at BBC NHU.

CREATIVE
I’m fascinated by how images, music and words deliver a powerful message. I've mentored new film-makers, provided Creative Direction to broadcast and corporate companies. I also trained new onscreen talent to feel authentic and relaxed. I have assisted Execs find the heart of a series by analyzing it's true USP and re-writing proposals. Read Less
