I am a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who is seeking to pursue a career within Film and Television. As a naturally creative person, I demonstrate a deep passion for the art of filmmaking and have invaluable years of professional experience and high standards of skills, abilities and knowledge which are transferable to the art of Film and Television making.

Throughout the past 10 years’ of working as a registered paediatric nurse, I have developed a keen appreciation for the power of narrative and visual storytelling. I have witnessed first-hand the impact of educational videos and media in healthcare settings, not only in the training of medical professionals but also in communicating vital information to young patients and their families. These experiences have ignited in me a desire to explore the realms of Film and Television to better understand and harness the potential of visual storytelling in various contexts.

While my professional background lies in healthcare, I believe a transition to the field of Film and Television is a natural progression rooted in my passion for storytelling and the potential to create meaningful narratives. My experiences as a paediatric nurse has equipped me with strong communication skills, empathy, and an acute awareness of the diverse perspectives that enrich storytelling. Throughout my professional career, I have acquired and developed invaluable skills, knowledge and experience which are very transferable to a creative setting which include but are not limited to; strong analytical skills and the ability to work within fast paced environments, dedicated time management and multi-tasking skills, and a talent to work well under deadlines with a great attention to detail.

What truly sets me apart from others is my wealth of life experiences and the maturity I bring to the table. The decision to return to education as a mature student (2024-2025) is a testament of determination and passion for the field. This maturity, combined with a strong work ethic, the ability to adapt and thrive in diverse environments and excellent time management skills, will undoubtedly make me an asset to the entertainment industry. As a paediatric nurse, I have honed my interpersonal skills, learned to navigate high-pressure situations, and developed a keen attention to detail—all of which are transferable skills applicable to the creative and demanding world of Film and Television.
