Since my first experience in the industry as a runner in 2015 I have known that documentary film making is the perfect means of pursuing these passions. Achieving a first-class degree in History helped me to develop and hone analytical research skills and writing techniques which I was able to implement working as a researcher and archive researcher on Channel 4’s ‘Secret History’ production of the Falklands War: The Untold Story. My dissertation was an opportunity to combine two of these primary interests, history and the natural world. I wrote an original, first-class thesis on wildlife policy in British India and its relationship with the native population. I understand the importance of rigorous research in the process of forming stories for the screen and would love the opportunity to deploy these skills again in the world of television. I returned to Bristol 6 months ago, after nearly two years living abroad in Australia and Southeast Asia. The last couple of years have been incredibly informative for me, I have been lucky enough to see a lot of the world and experience making a life in Sydney for a short period working as a producer in a photography studio. Now I am back on home soil I have a reaffirmed desire to deploy my talents and passion in the media.
