I have had numermous jobs as a Runner and I am hoping to do jobs where I am to work close with the Camera Department, to gain experience and hopefully work as a Camera Assissant in future projects. Furthermore, I am an enthusiastic individual with a craving to move the industry in a new direction, to enable a successful career in the creative arts.
I started my TV career in the Summer of 2021. The first Runner job I had was as a Floor Runner on 'Dickinson's Real Deal', which was hosted at Norbreck Castle in Blackpool. After that, I got a job working on 'Bargain Loving Brits by the Sea' Season 2. Originally, I did a number of weeks working in Blackpool. I was working closely with the Producer/Director, providing on location assistants and also, working the contributors. I then got a call back to work on Bargain Loving Brits again. This time it was to do pickups that they needed for numerous stories in the series. One of my favourite moments working on the show was when I got tasked to find a story in Blackpool. I decided to get in touch with a local café which had a horror film theme. Myself and the PD ended up following the owners of the café and created an "A - Story", which was broadcasted on Episode 6 of Season 2. After, that I had the pleasure on working on 'Bargain Loving Brtis in the Sun' Season 8. Which I ended up working as a Researcher on the show in Alicante, Spain.
Additionally, I wrote my thesis on the impact of the literary works of H. P. Lovecraft in contemporary Horror and Science Fiction, entitled: 'Visualising Cosmic Horror: Lovecraftian Manifestations in Contemporary Horror and Science Fiction'. During my time studying my MA. I attended a symposium for the 40th Anniversary of Ridley Scott's Alien, where I had a slot to present one of my chapters from my Dissertation, 'Lovecraftian Narrative: At the Mountains of LV-426: H. P. Lovecraft's At the Mountains of Madness in Ridley Scott's Alien'.
