Alongside this, I am a freelance Shooting AP and Camera Operator, with a proven experience of filming/directing/editing content to broadcast standard. I am a creative-thinker and enjoy coming up with fresh, inspiring concepts; strong engaging and impactful story-telling is my passion. I come from a multi-disciplinary background, having studied BA Fine Art (including film and photography) and MA Contemporary Music, and feel that one of my assets is that I see projects from multiple angles. I have a strong skill-set in audio production, sound design and motion graphics, having worked in these areas over 20 years, including short-form, social media first content.
Both as a freelancer and my role for Axminster Tools require me to make key editorial decisions, pre and post production, both independently and in collaboration with a wider team. Recent freelance projects include working on broadcast-standard productions and live events for University of Exeter, University of Bath, Falmouth University, Channel 5, Netflix, Mail Online, Komedia, Sky, Mercedes, Sophus3 and ‘Imagineer Productions’ art projects, in collaboration with The Media Workshop.
I am a creative-thinker and enjoy coming up with fresh, inspiring concepts and strong story-telling; I approach my work with enthusiasm, energy and curiosity. My role at Axminster Tools, involves researching, planning and managing creative projects from concept to delivery, story-boarding, planning and organising shoots - on and off site, problem-solving, directing in-house and external talent, filming and editing video and stills photography, producing podcasts and live-streams. I am highly organised, focused, and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues; listening to and interpreting a brief, taking feedback, and working closely in a team to create high-quality content. At Axminster, I contribute video and audio content across a diverse range of channels, providing in-house editing for content to go on the company’s website, YouTube, podcast platforms, social media and internal site. Part of my role is to engage with and understand our diverse customer base. I monitor performance of our content assets with video analytics, as well as looking at emerging cultural and industry trends, and use these insights to identify areas for growth in order to improve our future content.
