Last year, I expanded into fashion by co-founding 1093 Studio, a body-inclusive and diversity-focused photography and film studio. In early 2022, SEPA, a feature documentary I helped produce, surveying an experimental open-air penal colony in the Peruvian Amazon, directed by Walter Saxer (producer of Aguirre: The Wrath of God, Fitzcarraldo), premiered at the MOMA's "To Save and Project" festival. Currently, I am directing a documentary on Anna Delvey teaming up with a former Basquiat forger.As a filmmaker, I feel my best when working with others towards a common objective and when I am in service to others. As a cinematographer and editor, I offer an exacting eye for framing and shaping narratives on-screen. I know how difficult it can be to revise a project after spending many months working on it and how valuable a fresh set of eyes can be. As a storyteller, I know how to create a solid and clear through-line in a story. In addition, I have learned when and how to lean into mistakes. As Herzog offers in his 24 rules to filmmakers: "Chance is the lifeblood of cinema." This statement could not be more true. It is one of the most important things to remember as we sharpen our craft.
