I can work either on short notice or can play a more creative role in pre-production, where I can provide detailed script breakdowns with sound storytelling suggestions, go location scouting and plan an equipment list. I'm flexible with set workflow, attentive to my responsibilities and reports, and approachable and efficient in working with talent and crew.
I have worked on many student and short films as the HoD, but right now I'm most excited for Sound Trainee opportunities, which could allow me to learn more from professional Boom Operators and Sound Recordists. I'm also keen on opportunities for equipment management, as I've worked with a range of different recorders so far (Sound Devices 633, 644, Mixpre 6, Zoom H6, TASCAM DR-40X) and am constantly researching new equipment in order to really understand the differences, full utility, on-set efficiency and possible issues. I'm very passionate about building on my understanding of this medium and the technicalities of recognising and capturing real high quality sound.
