I am a Development Researcher/Researcher based in West Yorkshire with experience working up ideas across factual TV for various broadcasters, focusing on Documentaries, Factual Entertainment, Popular Factual and Current Affairs films, as well as working in a Researcher role on several films and series within Docs, Current Affairs and Specialist Factual. 

In development, I frequently work on steers and briefs from multiple broadcasters to develop ideas, often researching ideas with ‘difficult’ subject matters, and working them up into a compelling and engaging treatment or cutting small sizzles and character tapes on Premier Pro.

I've also worked as a Runner,  Researcher and Casting Researcher on various programmes whilst in production and in the edit, with responsibilities including: archival research, liaising with contributors, setting up mics and other equipment, running background checks, helping to organise shoots, casting targeting, and conducting phone and Zoom casting interviews. 

In 2022, as a researcher I developed and helped pitch an idea which was selected as a finalist for BBC 3's Northern Docs Pitch at Sheffield Doc Fest.
