Over the years, I've proudly established myself as an accomplished, versatile, and sought-after editor. My editorial experience, craft, and technical skills were forged from years of cutting entertainment, comedy, and factual television for most major UK networks and are a testament to my dedication and passion for my role as a network broadcast editor.
Although my career is mainly in entertainment and factual programming, my post-production expertise and experience extend across other genres. My abilities span the spectrum of television output, editing narrative single-camera ‘PSC’ and studio multi-camera projects. I have not only worked on many entertainment, game, quiz, and panel shows but also cut network promotions and channel launches, multiple documentaries, non-scripted reality projects, music, live events, magazine, sports programming, consumer, and even news television.
My journey as an editor began at BBC Television Centre London. I spent four more years honing my skills at a Soho post-house, followed by two more at BBC Wales, cutting almost anything and everything thrown at me—including Welsh-language weekly live sports, despite being English and only understanding, err… English!
During my exciting and varied editing career, I've embraced every challenge, employing a proactive ‘’can-do’’ approach, working with speed and a professional discipline established early on in my very young life as a BBC & Soho facilities videotape editor. If required, I am happy to combine my cutting skills with online grading/finishing and sound mixing for live transmission, which I have done many times (also during transmission - which isn't that much fun, to be honest!)
My well-honed funny bone instinctively finds 'the funny' in rushes - not only handy for non-scripted or reality productions but also an asset in any edit suite, enhancing the creative process, regardless of genre. Equally vital is my storytelling ability, structuring and crafting narratives to make the most informative and entertaining show possible and ensure the audience is always engaged and captivated by the content I help to create
