Owen's fiction and doc shorts have won festivals and earned Best Film, Audience Choice, Best Director, Best Comedy, and Best Documentary awards, screening in competition at Oscar and BAFTA qualifiers worldwide. Most recently, his Netflix short doc Band premiered at Raindance.
Owen’s indie feature debut sold globally on Blu-Ray and VOD.
Owen is a Broadcast Hot Shot ’25 and has been selected for the ScreenSkills HETV Regional Directors Champion Programme.
As a wheelchair user and an ally, Owen pushes for collaborative change in the industry. He directs with joy.
