My creative journey began in the world of music, as a producer and DJ, releasing tracks on vinyl and CD while performing at festivals around the world. That experience taught me the power of crafting an atmosphere and engaging people emotionally — lessons that continue to shape my approach to cinematography today.
Outside of filmmaking, I’ve spent several years as a full-time carer for an autistic child. Balancing life as a parent, carer, and creative has been challenging, but it’s given me a unique perspective — one that influences not just my work behind the camera, but also how I carry myself on set and collaborate with others. Patience, empathy, and adaptability are qualities I bring into every production.
I recently completed studying Cinematographer with the Sean Connery Talent Lab at NFTS Scotland, under the mentorship of producer Chris Young (The Inbetweeners, Silent Roar). That film will premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival in August 2025, and has since played at the Leeds international Film Festival and the Manchester Film Festival.
Visually, I’m drawn to dynamic storytelling — often using shadow and contrast as much as light to shape mood and meaning. While I love digging into the visual language of narrative scripts, you’ll still find me shooting music videos, short films, and all kinds of creative projects. For me, being behind a camera is where it all comes together.I believe the best results come from collaboration, communication, and a shared vision.
I enjoy leading a camera department, working closely with gaffers, grips, and other departments to ensure we're aligned creatively and technically. I also have a solid network of talented professionals I can bring in to support a production. While I’m happy to join projects at short notice, I’ve found the earlier we start the conversation, the better the outcome. I’m always up for a coffee and a chat (or a few!) to explore how we can create the strongest visuals possible for your project.
Based in London and Scotland, you can find me working across the whole UK, and overseas if that's where the work is.
