Madeleine Fletcher is a 20 year old director and film-maker from Liverpool. She is currently studying Film Production at Aberystwyth University but has always taken the time to branch out and explore other avenues outside of this. Beginning her career through a musical theatre route, Madeleine’s directorial debut was a production of The Addams Family where she coordinated 100 cast and crew giving her full creative control of the project. Moving forward from this she collaborated with the British Film Institute, progressing on to create films with the National Film and Television School and gain experience as a runner working on Hollyoaks. Madeleine has been able to build a strong foundational understanding of the production process allowing her to explore and execute her creative visions effectively. Always keen to learn more, she has completed a directing mentorship scheme with BAFTA which enabled her to develop her own unique filmic language resulting in moving films that stand out from the crowd. Her love for character development and implicit changes in tone have ensured that Madeleine’s portfolio of films are always visually intriguing with an emphasis on symbolism through the minute details, bringing the audience into the film world.
