I have worked very closely with Kate over a number of years on many productions from entertainment to documentary work, during which time she has gained an excellent skillset as a first class production manager. She is extremely hard working and thoroughly professional, and gives a good account of herself and the production company when dealing with broadcasters, rights holders, facilities providers, freelance staff and talent. She is a sharp negotiator, thoughtful and considerate when dealing with staffing issues, and both knowledgeable and realistic when it comes to scheduling and budgets. Her budget management skills in particular are excellent. Kate is meticulously thorough, and her work in the archive field is outstanding. She has a very deep knowledge of the archive houses and their practises and protocols, understands rights issues well, and is tenacious about clearances. She has a flexible and can-do approach to work, and is un-phased by the revision of schedules or deadlines. I have always found Kate to be an asset to any production, whatever scale it might be. She collaborates well with any production team, but is also effective when working independently on her own. Kate's knowledge of health and safety protocols, risk assessment and production insurance issues is also strong. In the time we worked together her duties covered the full range of production management from arranging location shoots to booking studios, hiring staff to arranging full delivery of completed shows to broadcasters - and everything in between! She is a delightful person to work with and I would have no hesitation in recommending her.
