I am a very experienced series director and series producer, with an extensive track record in Factual Entertainment programming. I directed 7 series of ‘Top Gear’ from its re-launch show in 2002 where I helped develop the highly stylized photography that has since been so often copied. 

After ‘Top Gear’ I worked on a host of British and American television shows including ‘Holiday’, ‘What Not to Wear’, ‘Jo Frost’, ‘Biggest Loser’, ‘Fifth Gear’ and ‘Pioneer Woman’.  Between 2012 and 2015 I worked on multiple series of ‘Wheeler Dealers’ both in the UK and the US. 

In 2017 I directed an award-winning feature length documentary, ‘One More Win’, which tells the story of off-road racing legend, Rod Hall, the only man to have raced every Baja 1000 since the race began in 1967. 

Between 2019-2022 I series produced and directed ‘Vintage Voltage’, a trail blazing series for Attaboy/Discovery featuring classic cars being converted to run on electric power. Filmed on location in mid-Wales, I developed the format of the show and then oversaw the whole production, including directing all key scenes and self-shooting second camera. 

I was series director for 'Fifth Gear Recharged' for North One/Disovery in 2022, which included directing shoots across the UK, as well as in France, Italy and a 1000-mile travelogue up into the Arctic Circle in Norway.  Then in 2023 I series produced 'Dream Car Fixers' for Wiser Films/UKTV in 2023 - helping to develop this brand-new format, writing scripts and overseeing the edit.

In 2024-25 I series directed and shot car restoration series, 'Classic Car Kings', filmed on location in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria for Chatterbox Media/UKTV.  The series was filmed observationally over a year as real cars were restored for real clients - this was not a “produced” show. Early stages I was working with a Shooting PD, but the latter stages of the restorations were covered single camera by me acting alone as series director and shooter (including drone and gimbal operation).

Most recently I series produced and series directed Guz Khan's Custom Cars for Quest.  A band new format combining the comic talent of Guz Khan with the world of modified cars. This required combining my extensive car expertise with comic sensibility. 

I have also series edit produced Junk & Disorderly for Henry Cole. Again using my expert automotive knowledge to write the series comm script.  Read Less
