I’m an experienced documentary director and series director working across premium factual television for terrestrial broadcasters including the BBC and Channel 4 and streamers including Netflix, Apple TV and HBO Max. My background is primarily in access-led and observational documentaries, both singles and series, often involving sensitive contributors, complex environments and emotionally driven storytelling. I tend to gravitate toward stories where emotional nuance and human perspective are central. 

Alongside directing, I have extensive experience self-shooting, gallery directing, development, edit producing, and overseeing multiple edits, which has given me a strong editorial grounding and a deep understanding of narrative structure across production and post-production. While I value the intimacy and responsiveness that self-shooting can bring, I’m increasingly drawn to more cinematic and creatively ambitious documentary filmmaking, particularly projects with a strong visual and editorial identity.

More recently I’ve been working on archive-led documentaries and retrospectives, an area I’m keen to continue developing alongside longform observational work. I’m particularly interested in thoughtful, character-driven documentaries that combine emotional intelligence with rigorous storytelling.
