Currently I am Preston, Lancs based and work part time at Candour Productions as a Family Liaison Producer for ‘Cause of Death’. My main role is looking after the welfare of families who have recently been bereaved and ensuring that they get the correct support whether that’s counselling, check in sessions or one to one visits.
I would also love the opportunity to help employees and be part of a company culture that looks after staff wellbeing like this. In my spare time I have gained a certificate in CMI Level 5 Management Coaching and Mentoring, I am a Reiki Master with five years’ experience, I have completed a children’s Mental Health Course called ‘Inamojo’ and am currently studying NLP.
A bit more about me. I also currently work part-time as a Senior Casting Producer for Steph’s Packed Lunch, having been on the programme since the beginning and helping to grow a pool of hundreds of people who come on live to talk about their personal issues or experiences. Duty of care is incredibly important and with a new audience every day, this is continuous.
Prior to this I worked in production in London for over ten years, predominantly as a self-shooter in observational documentaries. I have a wealth of experience in filming and casting access led documentaries, which ranged from filming in an Emergency Department in New York to 'Don't Tell the Bride'. I have also secured highly sensitive contributors for a documentary on the 2004 Tsunami and directed a series following RAF, Brize Norton.
Throughout my career, my strong interpersonal skills have allowed me to manage very intense and sensitive situations and always prioritise duty of care, whatever project I’ve been on, however sensitive or challenging.
