Looking for Researcher/Runner roles on a natural history produciton. 

I remember it as if it was yesterday – my induction into the natural world. It happened when I was nine years old through a National Geographic show called “Dangerous Encounters with Dr Brady Barr”. His enthusiasm to study animals is what sparked my passion to study zoology. It was during those hours spent watching natural history shows as a child that I decided I wanted to become a Zoologist. I developed a sense of curiosity, becoming motivated to study and share the knowledge that I had gained about animals with the people around me. As I progressed further up the educational ladder, I gained clarity about my interests and the field itself. During my undergraduate, I involved myself in a range of activities by doing internships, leading student societies, writing scientific articles, conducting interviews and presentations. These experiences made me realise that I wanted to work in the field of science communication. The knowledge that I gained throughout my bachelors laid down the foundation for a postgraduate degree, which gave me a comprehensive overview of core topics in zoology such as evolution, ecology and behaviour.

My journey so far has cultivated the passion I possess for natural sciences and storytelling. I have come to realise that it was the stories about zoology that have impacted me the post, playing a crucial role in shaping my career. I want to follow this trajectory, leading me to a stage where I will be in a position to tell stories about the natural world. I want to communicate science effectively by presenting and writing about the natural world. My aim is to create a sense of wonder, fascination and most importantly empathy by informing, inspiring and involving wider audiences. Read Less
