As a driven and passionate wildlife filmmaking professional, I am seeking a role where I can contribute to impactful storytelling about the natural world while advancing my career in the natural history filmmaking industry.

In my most recent role as a Visual Effects Shooting Assistant with Silverback Films, I worked on an exciting new Natural History/VFX Netflix production. This experience provided me with a broad range of skills, including drone operation, data wrangling, LiDAR and 3D environment capture, camera assisting, and DIT (Digital Imaging Technician) tasks, among others. The role was invaluable, particularly due to the extensive time spent on location, which helped me build confidence in adapting to life in the field and understanding how to best support the team, even during the most challenging moments. Over the course of my two-year contract, I spent a total of 14 months on location. I seized the opportunity to work hands-on with equipment such as RED, ARRI, and GSS cameras, as well as operating the DJI Inspire 2 and 3, mirrorless and DSLR cameras, 360-degree cameras, and a variety of visual effects data capture tools. This role served as the perfect foundation for my journey toward creating innovative natural history content.

Innovation is a core passion of mine, whether in filmmaking or conservation. In conservation, I have a particular interest in leveraging innovative technology. For the past five years, I have been running my own company, UAVWILD (now operating under Manta). During this time, we have supported numerous conservation charities and research groups in integrating low-cost drone technology into their workflows. In filmmaking, I am driven to tell untold stories or present familiar ones in a new and dynamic light through creativity and innovation. Read Less
