As a driven and passionate wildlife filmmaking professional, I’m seeking a role to be able to contribute towards impactful storytelling of the natural world, as well as further my career within the natural history filmmaking industry.

Prior to entering the media industry, my time working and studying in conservation research has given me the fuel to succeed in my filmmaking career. Already in my early career, from researching sea urchin ecology in Madagascar, to teaching drone skills to conservation initiatives in the Philippines, I’ve witnessed such incredible human wildlife relationships, and awful conflicts. Both of which have fuelled my passion to work in media to influence a deeper routed connection to the natural world by telling such stories. Resulting in my goal of becoming a natural history DOP to create my own productions that contribute towards positive changes to our environment.

My recent role as a shooting assistant on a visual effects/natural history production has enabled me to be on every shoot for our production, being on location collectively for 12 months since April 2023 until September 2024. As my first role in the filmmaking industry, I fully immersed myself in the experience to learn as much as I could from industry leading professionals. I have been responsible for a number of roles, including camera assisting, drone operating, jib operating, equipment preparation and maintenance, research, data management and VFX technology operation. I have worked hard to learn how to be best helpful to those around me on shoots by doing these roles to the highest standards I can. My most recent additional role as a drone content creator is also valuable industry experience allowing me to apply my learnings from drone operating on location. Obtaining my FAA Part 107 qualification whilst on location in the USA, is enabling me to travel back to the USA and create content for their USA market. This freelance work has led to the recent formation of my media company, Manta, that I’m very excited to build in the coming years. I'm looking for the opportunity to further my camera assisting and camera/drone operating skills as well as location experience that I’ve started to build in these roles.

Innovation is a key interest of mine, whether that’s in filmmaking or conservation. Within conservation, innovative technology is a working passion of mine. I have been running my own company, UAVWILD (now Manta), for the past 5 years. In that time, we have helped dozens of conservation charities and research groups add low-cost drone technology into their workflows. Within filmmaking, I’m driven to develop innovative technologies to tell stories previously untold; or previously told stories in a new light.  Read Less
