With over 20 years experience of television production, I have graduated from VT archivist on Britain's biggest daytime show to a Producer/Director and I'm now firmly established as an Edit Producer. I arrive in an edit suite armed with all my accumulated knowledge to assemble, create and weave stories that shine and have been broadcast onto television screens in the UK, US and Internationally in over 120 territories. I have been involved in getting a number of successful new series off the ground as well as working on existing ones. I have adapted easily to life outside of the edit suite in the new normal COVID world, harnessing new remote working software to make the same high quality of programme with no compromise in communications with editors and executives. I’ve honed my skills in the edit over the last decade with material I have directed and self-shot which gives me a great advantage when it comes to stepping into a new production and trawling a batch of rushes with fresh eyes and new ideas. I enjoy searching out little gems often overlooked, to bring stories and characters to life. Using FORscene and Avid workstations to do this not only helps gain familiarity with new material, it also enables me to create sync pulls, assemblies and cutdowns but more importantly work independently and simultaneously alongside the editor. I have excellent knowledge of workflow and extensive experience of finishing post – Onlines, VO records, dub, and final laybacks. I find viewings to be a valuable opportunity to have my editorial judgement evaluated, ideas shared and explored. I can implement even the trickiest of changes requested by Series Producers, Execs and Commissioners without fuss. No matter how challenging a project, I will always bring a calm, supportive, flexible and reassuring air to a project. I relish managing story arcs, fleshing out dramatic story lines, making technical issues clear and concise, fact checking and making sure legal and compliance issues are watertight. From heavy weight consumer campaigns and sensitive human-interest stories to tongue firmly planted in cheek, I relish word play. Read Less
