Able to move between genres - True Crime / Natural Sciences / Journalism / History - with great credits and reviews to show for it. Can direct moving master interviews; script sizzles, films and series arcs; produce actuality and studio shoots, all with premium visuals. Plus edit produce to tight deadlines.
In short, I am an incredibly talented all-rounder, both on location and in the edit. I am known for finding the emotion in whatever story is in front of me.
I am currently developing my own feature docs, while Exec’ing / Edit Producing in the market. I have been, in the last year, Development Exec at Ridley Scott Associates, in the edit on Brinkworth’s A&E’s The Accused, and consulted on the C4 / Starz Ghislaine Maxwell: The Making of a Monster / Who is Ghislaine Maxwell? which aired to incredible reviews.
In 2021, I finished a long and happy four-year stint at Nutopia, one of the UK’s most successful Indies. I was Sr Producer/EP / Edit Producer on various films in the History and Science genres but was also a key member of the development team. We worked to create premium, original series for the global market, always with cutting edge technology and stunning visuals.
My partnership with Nutopia was focused on developing narrative-led, character-driven stories that scale up the feature doc sensibility in the contemporary factual landscape. I have been part of teams pitching to Discovery, AMC, EPIX, Nat Geo, Netflix, Apple , HBO, C4 and the BBC.
My final role was to bring that editorial style to the iconic natural science show, Welcome to Earth with Will Smith. EP’ed by Darren Aronofsky and Jane Root for Disney+ & Nat Geo.
