First-class Film and Journalism graduate from the University of Stirling, seeking next researcher role in unscripted TV.
I'm about to finish my RAD traineeship at Hello Halo. During the traineeship, I have been working across production management and editorial, these experiences have given me a good understanding of the responsibilities and pressures on each department- and how as a researcher I can best collaborate with the production management. Currently on an intensive NFTS self-shooting course for researchers, learning about different industry-standard cameras, prime lenses and recording sound. Towards the end of the course, we will be using sliders, Easyrigs and i Direct.
Since graduating I have worked on various productions, as an on-screen reporter in What if I Can’t Read for BBC Disclosure, reporting on illiteracy levels in Scotland; production assistant for Question Time and Debate Night special programming leading up to the general election; currently working as a casting and challenge researcher on a new-knitting competition show with Tom Daley for Channel 4.
As the industry continues to evolve I am determined to develop my skill set across different departments and genres while following an editorial pathway. I believe that by sharing powerful stories on our screens, we can evoke conversations and inspire change.
