The dream is to one day become a DOP. I find the act of storytelling through the lens in cinema is such a powerful art form. I aim to learn the important roles that the camera department plays in the creation of film based work, and build on the vision of my own practice. My introduction to image making started with the still photograph, and then morphed through installations and experimentation towards moving image.
 
Whilst capturing the spaces I passed through, I’ve been drawn to cities, the natural world and the people who occupy them. I’ve consistently explored subjects on our altering landscapes, decay, social stratification and the day-to-day. These topics convey both the grit and the glamour that colours the fabric of our world in its current state. This has been drawn from a passion to unearth scenes of beauty away from our structured pathways.

Works that I made dating back to 2016, have been exhibited and featured in online and print publications Internationally. During this time, I also spent many years working as an art fabricator and prop maker for companies in London. This included building pieces for Ridley Scott’s ‘The Last Duel’ and J. A Boyana’s ‘A Monster Calls’.

Over the last few years I made a short film on 8mm film called, Soil Rises, which was screened at festivals in the UK and Europe. The work is a documentary exploring London’s allotments and their positive effects on communities and human wellbeing. Alongside that, I have worked as an assistant camera operator, photographer, an editor and was part of an art department team. Read Less
