I studied Zoology at the University of Bristol with a strong interest in pursuing a career in natural history film production. As part of my degree I completed a unit titled “Communicating Science through Filmmaking” which introduced me to the end to end process of creating short factual films and reinforced my desire to work behind the scenes in production whilst giving me an understanding of how information translates through a screen and the importance of storytelling.
Alongside my degree I was Treasurer for the Wildlife Filmmaking Society which gave me my first insight into media production and the importance of strong organisational skills behind creative projects. I was finance co-ordinator for the Society’s short film “Bristol - A Hidden Eden” which was a finalist at the Festival Of the Moving Image (2023).
