This has made me an adaptable worker, eager to take on any role and task in front of me. I have a lot of experience through my degree as in the first year we were required to create a new piece every two weeks, which gave me the experience in quick turnaround as this time had to include all the stages of production, set by the brief we were provided. In the second and third year we were able to focus on bigger projects, this is where I developed my interest in on location documentary making and research. I lead these projects so I have experience in booking locations and corresponding with clients. During my degree I also worked on a couple of pieces that gave me an IMDB credit.I have a full, clean drivers licence and my own vehicle. I am 26 years old.I have worked in hospitality management for 6 years, 3 years were alongside university. This has provided me with experience of team management and providing me a keen eye for details along with the ability to fulfill my tasks regardless of any situation I am in. Having these years of experience in customer facing roles allowed me to develop my adaptability in situations when problem solving is essential to guarantee all customers have a positive experience. These skills have stayed with me allowing me to have a positive attitude while being quick thinking and productive. Managing teams alongside completing my degree taught me the importance of time management, it allowed me to prioritise a workload and ensure tasks and projects were completed to deadlines. I believe these skills are essential for a runner as there are many tasks throughout a day that would need to be completed and from this experience I know how important all jobs can be, even if it’s a quick job that could be easily forgotten. In July I worked as a runner on BBC’s Antiques Roadshow, which was my first post-uni, on set experience. This reignited my desire to work in the film industry which is why I then resigned from my trainee assistant manager role at Costa to pass my driving test, which I recently did, and dedicate my time to finding work in the industry. In this time I also did a small amount of travelling which I filmed to renew filming and editing skills. I am currently in the editing process of this. I am eager to be part of the industry and will go above and beyond for any opportunity I am lucky to have.
