I'm an experienced, versatline and creative Entertainment Exec / Showrunner with credits covering studio, game and quiz formats, reality, live, competition formats as well as large scale events for all the major UK broadcasters as well as some US networks.
Prime-time enternainment formats I've produced include Strictly Come Dancing, Dancing on Ice, Blind Date as well as several game shows including Blankety Blank and The Cube.
I've worked on several reality shows and most recently was exec producer on Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother.
I've produced several large-scale events including four years of BBC1's successful Big Night of Musicals event, BBC Children in Need, The National Television Awards for ITV, D-Day 80 at The Royal Albert Hall, and for the last three years have exec produced the ITV New Years Eve event filmed at Wembley Arena.
Development is an area I enjoy and have over the years I've developed several shows as well as worked on a lot of first series. Helping shape shows and taking ideas from paper through to transmissio is a process I really enjoy
I'm creative, successful in building and managing teams of all sizes, managing budgets and working closely with a huge variety of talent from fresh new faces to tv legends.
Over the last couple of years a lot of my shows have been made using alternative funding methods and I have become skilled at managing and delivering on the different requirements from broadcasters and clients – skills I believe are going to become increasingly valuable as the landscape continues to evolve.
I have strong relationships with commissioners at all the major broadcasters and spent 14 months as ITV Entertainment Commissioner on exteneded maternity cover. Whilst there I oversaw the return of The Cube with new 2 player format and the rebrand of The Million Pound Cube strip. I also looked after long running entertainment formats including Piers Morgan's Life Stories, It'll Be Alright on the Night as well as new projects such as the acclaimed Billy Connolly: It's Been A Pleasure doc. I've also developed a number of shows with Indies to run through stage and commissioned a Saturday night entertainment show pilot.
I am calm under pressure, collaborative and believe making entertainment tv should be fun!
I'm regionally based (in Northamptonshire) but work mainly in London.
