It's startling to me to think that I've worked with Rob Llewellyn off and on for 20 years now both on UK and US productions and that's testament to just how fantastic a DP he really is. From observational documentaries to reality TV shows such as Gold Rush and Lost Gold of World War 2, he excels at every challenge and he never settles for second best in his work. Not only that, he's also passionate about the editorial. He's also been responsible for bringing through many camera assistants on my teams; making sure they learn from his vast experience. You couldn't want for a more involved DP who cares about every project he's hired on. He always gives 100%.
Hire him. Hire him now. But make sure I get him back!
