have important interpersonal messages and recognition. From a young age, everyone I spoke to said
I was sure to end up in the entertainment business, also saying I carried a very creative mind. On top
of this I’ve always had a very perceptive eye, on it with specifics and erroneous details in continuity. During the summer of 2017 I had a two week placement for work experience at a postproduction
and VFX company in central London. It really gripped me because of the level of creative freedom but also
precision required, centred more towards postproduction. While post-production remains a
significant interest, the whole filmmaking process is what I’m determined to learn more about. Since the pandemic, I’ve been really committed to learning as much as I can about the industry
where both on-set and off-set roles interest me. Initially I’d like to first gain experience in the
production stage hopefully progressing onto a PA, or full-time creative producer once I graduate. I
feel that working in production is incredibly important also to familiarise yourself with other
branches and other roles on set. I feel I am more suited to creative production, and up until recently,
I have taken up screenwriting, developing a short script about ASD diagnosis and the effect it has on
the main character’s life changes.
I’m currently at the University of Sussex, going on to study Media Production in September 2021. I hope to be considered for as many AP or AD placements to start with, part-time or full-time.
