Read MoreI have a strong background in creative higher education and documentary/factual television production, gathered over the past 12+ years in HE and a career in TV which began as a Production Secretary at the BBC back in 1995. I have experience within HE of curriculum design, management and teaching having gained my PG Cert Ed in 2010. This has run in tandem alongside my continued practice within documentary and factual production since leaving the BBC in 2008.
Whilst at the BBC I worked across a variety of content and specialisms, in roles varying from researcher, to Assistant Producer, Producer/Director and Series Director. Covering stories from human interest to current affairs, politics, wildlife and history and a myriad beyond that for VTs, half hours, extended specials and OBs. Experienced in development, research, directing and producing.
My interest in both careers is in highlighting and facilitating social mobility, shedding light on the stories, knowledge and skills that widen participation and seek to influence change. I am currently Graduate Support Specialist for the University of the Arts, London, supporting and facilitating graduates in developing their creative careers.
