Beyond directing, I thrive on crafting immersive worlds as a production designer. I love collaborating with fellow directors to bring their visions to life. My experience as a writer and director helps me create environments that truly support and enrich the story.
I earned my MFA in Film and Media Production from the University of Texas at Austin in 2021. Prior to my filmmaking career, I worked with the United Nations Development Program and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, addressing issues close to my heart. Academically, I studied International Relations at Bilkent University and earned an MSc in Development Studies from Lund University on a full scholarship from the Swedish Institute, focusing on urban gentrification and renewal projects in Istanbul.
Living in the US, Turkey, Sweden, Paraguay, the Netherlands, and Saudi Arabia has enriched my storytelling with a diverse, multicultural perspective. At home, I enjoy the company of a spirited rescue German Shepherd and a mischievous cat. As a food enthusiast, I’m always on the lookout for new culinary adventures.
