I am currently working as a researcher and camera operator in conservation and impact film-making. I want to continue to build my skills in research and development, preferably combined with self-shooting work and setting up shoots. My aim is to eventually work as an impact producer, as I believe in the power of good storytelling to help create a better world. 

My camera work has been featured on World Economic Forum, ZDF, BBC News, BBC One Show, BBC Countryfile and BBC Wildlife Magazine.

With a background in nature conservation, I have previously worked as an academic researcher (conservation), a conservation biologist, a researcher in various environmental NGOs, and a conservation guide on sailing expeditions. I am also a published academic author (specialising in illegal fishing). My areas of expertise include ecosystem restoration, biodiversity loss, illegal fishing and the global wildlife trade, environmental justice, historical ecology, indigenous land rights and climate change.

I have experience shooting on DSLRs, Sony FS7, Sony A7Siii, Canon C200 and Mavic Air Drones, and using gimbals (Ronin) and an Easyrig. I hold the A2 CofC commercial drone license and am working towards my GVC for commercial drone operation. 

My skills  including storytelling, fact-checking against reputable sources, working on location, obtaining permissions, building narratives and impact campaigns, producing deliverables, risk assessments, designing pitch documents, travel planning and logistics, editing and more. My edit experience includes logging and editing footage using AVID, Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. I am a people person and am skilled at collaboration, teamwork, building relationships, and communicating with people from diverse backgrounds.
