A proactive and tenacious Producer, with a valid UK Press Pass and I-Visa for work in the USA. I have experience spanning development, casting, shoots, archive, and the edit. I’ve worked across a wide range of documentaries and factual programmes, including human interest, access, obs doc, social history, disasters, current affairs, and true crime. Skilled at finding exciting and hard to reach stories and contributors; story producing in advance and on location; forward planning; negotiating access; conducting interviews; working with high-profile talent, vulnerable contributors, and children; setting up shoots (UK and international); assisting on location; and sourcing archive. I was selected for the Shooting AP course by DV Talent and Screenskills, where I received intensive training on a Sony FS7 camera. I was awarded a scholarship for my ‘natural passion and empathy, independence of spirit, interest in global issues, and ability to make a global impact’, and I endeavour to carry these qualities into my work every day. With the funds, I made my own documentary about young survivors of a disaster. I was proud to be the first in my family to attend university, and I graduated with a First Class MA in International Relations from the University of St Andrews. I was selected from hundreds for The Network Talent Scheme by Edinburgh TV Festival. I have strong journalistic instincts and love making meaningful connections with ordinary and extraordinary people. I am grateful I can spend my career telling their stories.
