Fardous Bahbouh is an Arabic broadcast interpreter, voice over artist, and PhD researcher investigating structural inequality, precarious work, and the impact of outsourcing in public service interpreting (PSI) in the UK. Drawing on interdisciplinary approaches from political philosophy, economics, and critical intersectionality, her research explores how systemic factors affect job quality and equality outcomes in PSI. Her work engages with thinkers such as Anne Phillips, Jonathan Wolff, Mariana Mazzucato, Joseph Stiglitz, Patricia Hill Collins, Fiona Williams, and Nancy Folbre. contributes to wider debates on public service reform, labour rights, and child poverity.
