I have worked in theatre for over 10 years but am now keen to make the move into TV production. I have gathered a lot of transferable skills that I believe are relevant to the role of Production Secretary and I feel really excited about the prospect of taking my career in this new direction.Working at the Tron Theatre good communication, organisation and time management are all key to staying as prepared as I can to keep everything moving to an often tight schedule. Although a small venue, things can get quite hectic at times - in particular Panto season. With multiple sold out shows happening in quick succession throughout the day, being able to prioritise and balance my workload between departments while juggling multiple things at one time is of utmost importance.I enjoy challenging myself to learn new things, particularly in areas I’m not so comfortable with. During lockdown I have filmed and/ or edited short films for Femmes Uncut, The End Series and EHG Theatre as well as a round of homemade “classic” music videos for the Tron’s weekly Lockdown Tron Quiz (Bye Bye Bye by *NSync might have been my favourite).Working at EHG Theatre and In Motion gave me an opportunity to really expand my skillset in a variety of areas. In more admin based areas such as coordinating rehearsal schedules, negotiating mail merges and connecting with our mailing list by creating a monthly newsletter on MailChimp, as well as tapping into a more creative side by taking responsibility for the social media strands and using design and video editing software to create logos and image & video content to promote upcoming workshops and performances.This has all really made me push myself to learn as I go along and has given me the confidence in my ability to keep evolving and learning whatever situation I find myself in.I’ve often worked as part of a small team so am very aware of the importance of working closely and efficiently together. Being open and staying alert to the changing nature of situations and being able adjust when need be.Through this I have become a more approachable, adaptable and confident person who is versatile and works well under pressure. I am an honest, reliable individual who has a keen eye for detail and who is willing to tackle any situation.I am currently based in Glasgow but I am willing to relocate. Read Less
