Hi, I'm Matteo Stefan, freelance in the field of video production for advertising. I specialize in stop motion animation, motion control and special effects. Since 2016 I have been working with Virgilio Villoresi, a stop motion film director (link to his vimeo: vimeo.com/villoresi). In 2018 I started working with TableSpot srl (tablespot.com/food-commercials/en/home-en/) and currently also with 360fx (360fx.it/) and Special Project lab (specialprojects.it/), both studios specialized in the field of SFX. Speaking of motion control I have a good knowledge of the dragonframe Arc system (Arc Motion Control Workspace) and I have also used Mark Roberts' BOLT on several occasions. I regularly use a Kuka arm for camera movements. I built myself a motion control unit using the BFG motion "Mantis" system. It is a unit capable of using up to 8 axes (stepper motors). In addition, I also assembled a unit to manage up to 12 external triggers (motors, pistons, explosions or other effects) in order to synchronize the movement of the camera with the special effects.
