An experienced Junior Researcher on an ambitious worldwide project working with a small team, my work encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities that cut across traditional job roles
Researcher: As a Researcher, I have demonstrated my ability to unearth captivating stories in Morocco and Senegal, often under tight time constraints during production. During post production I have helped create five detailed annotated scripts, one for each episode with over a thousand references combined.
Edit Assistant: Experined at creating AAFs, EDL's, stringouts and sourcing archives from both traditional and lesser-known vendors. I also have had extensive experience as an Edit Assistant working under the Post Production Supervisor, managing up to 4 offline edits at the same time, taking on the responsibilities solo during the supervisors annaul leave, ensuring seamless workflow continuity. Trained on AVID, DaVinci Resolve and Adobe suite allowing me to handle diverse tasks, from clip-outs to sizzle edits and laying in new archive and audio on to the master timeline.
DIT: In my capacity as a Digital Imaging Technician (DIT), I have worked on location in remote and challenging regions such as Eastern Senegal, working as the only production member in a small team of three. My expertise with DIT software has also enabled me to guide colleagues through DIT issues while they operated around the globe.
Kit Experience: Variety of Apple products / Garmin InReach Mini (1/2) / GoPros (up to and including Hero10) / CamTraptions camera traps and mounts
Programme Experience: AVID, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Suite (inc. Lightroom, Photoshop, InDesign), Final Cut Pro, Microsoft Suite, ShotPut Pro
I have also really enjoyed working in other mediums too as a researcher on Tom Mustill’s award winning book ‘How to Speak Whale’.
