I am a Newcastle University postgraduate with a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and Creative Writing, currently working towards a Masters in Film: Theory and Practice. I have volunteered with both Harambee Pasadia and Sheffield DocFest, both North East based music and film festivals. During my time with these organisations, I had the opportunity to demonstrate my strong administration skills as I was personally involved in organising official websites, recording minutes of weekly meetings and updating portfolios of local artists and volunteers. Whilst teaching English over in Poland I was responsible for creating fun but inciteful lessons designed to educate the students in the English language. I would often create tests and assignments to determine each student's understanding of the lesson so I was aware how best to proceed with the topic. Strong communication and interpersonal skills I have acquired over years of working in hospitality could be beneficial within a role in this industry as it will allow me to work effectively with a team whilst also having the ability to act on my own initiative.
