I have twenty years experience working across a delightfully varied range of unscripted content.  I’ve been shooting since I was a Researcher, I cut my first hour of telly back in 2016 and have been working as a Producer / Director ever since.  

I’ve shot everything from tribes hunting game in the highlands of Papua New Guinea to tree surgeons hanging Christmas decorations at Kew.  I love the variety of challenges my career has afforded me and feel confident I can be dropped into pretty much any situation and quickly figure out the best way to tell the story and shoot the scene.

When time does allow, I like to be organised, have a well thought out script in hand and make sure those working with me are briefed.  I know how to run a team on location and keep things moving at a good pace.  I’ve worked with challenging contributors in extreme environments, I’m pretty unflappable, I know how to build trust, develop great relationships and ultimately, get the best out of people. 

I’ve negotiated access to a variety of precincts, setup shoots all over the world, I’m meticulous, diligent and always mindful of the budget.  I like to encourage those working with me and help younger members of the team develop, (I run self-shooting workshops at the National Film & Television School each year).  

As an Edit Producer I’ve cut some tricky programmes, I know how to tell a story with clarity and humour. I’ve cut pilots that have gone on to be commissioned as well as returning series where I’ve had to learn the formula very quickly.  

I’ve worked in Development over the years, I like taking on pilot series, helping to finesse a new format.  I’m naturally creative, love to work collaboratively and always bring a lot of energy to a project.  Read Less
