Self-taught filmmaker after studying biochemistry and teaching kids to be curious about science. Have a 360° approach to my craft and constantly evolve, innovate and collaborate. I started on science formats and C4 Education docs, moved into current affairs and obs docs followed by fact ent and BSL content. I’ve won an RTS for journalism, a CDN award for the first primetime doc in BSL and several BAFTA and BAFTA craft nominations. At the heart of everything is my love of people, passion for storytelling even in the most sensitive and challenging of circumstances and excel at keeping contributors on board, sometimes for years! I am a highly experienced self-shooter, prime lenses, filming actuality, developing story arcs on location and delivering for the edit. I’m highly experienced at compliance and managing duty of care and also have mental health awareness training and experience drawing up protocols for managing psychological welfare, emotional and physical. I have a keen eye for detail and ability to manage the entire production process from pre to post production and enjoy being in the edit. I have ten-years, experience of working with the Deaf community and mentor deaf talent. I’ve also directed branded content for DOVE, IKEA and Breakthrough T1Diabetes as well as create social content for GBBO, Sewing Bee, The Great Pottery throwdown. Read Less
