Born in Poland, Aleksandra is a Manchester-based independent short film producer. She studied Filmmaking at the Manchester School of Art where she developed her passion for creative producing. Throughout her 3-year studies, she has gained experience on short, low budget films which taught her resourcefulness and utilised her problem solving nature. Her first short Early Retirement (dir. Theo Kaufman) was a 2019 BFI Film Hub North Polaris Award nominee. Aleksandra has worked as a runner on shorts produced in association with the BFI including Trucker’s Atlas (dir. Dan Thorburn). In 2020, she trained as a Production Assistant with Delaval Film - winner of the 2016 BFI Vision Award and listed as one of Top 50 Most Creative Companies in the country by Creative England. Driven to pursue her career, she was a trainee for Salvation Has No Name, a stop motion short by the BAFTA Cymru nominated Joseph Wallace, where she designed a successful fundraising campaign to help the production recover from the hard hitting effects of lockdown. Her passion for drama has reflected in some of her most recent credits including being a producer of Parachute (dir. Joe Pilkington) - a short coming of age drama officially selected for 2020 Encounters Film Festival. In April 2021, she also completed a production placement on Silky Hotel (dir.
