My track record includes programmes across a multitude of genres, such as News, Current Affairs, Factual, Children’s, Music and Entertainment. I started my television career in Plymouth and subsequently moved to London to work for ITV and then the BBC, where I trained as a Script Supervisor. I then obtained an attachment to BBC News, where I trained as a Director and moved back to ITV as a Director of Breakfast television. Over the years, I have directed actors, presenters and members of the public and have researched, directed and edited a wide range of programmes. I am a good communicator with people at all levels, with a good sense of humour and outgoing personality. As an experienced team leader, I can work well on my own initiative, under pressure and am good at problem-solving. My directing experience in television has given me an exceptional eye for detail, and I will integrate well into any team to build strong positive working relationships and networks. I hold a UK driving licence. For many years I have led a team of professionals in the production of live television programmes, organising and leading technical production meetings embracing all aspects of television programme content. Since 2007, I have been a visiting tutor at The National Film and Television School, delivering training to students for the television industry, in both classroom and technical environments, and continue to work as a freelance multi cam OB and studio Director.
