Led by a passion for History and exploring the past through television, I have 5 years of experience in surpassing expectations and being a critical team member across various projects.
With an extensive range of research and production skills that I have been building upon since achieving my History Degree (Warwick, BA Hons), I have developed an unwavering reputation for finding specific people and obscure information. Amongst my most impactful research skills is the application of various AI tools that open new doors to tracking down people of interest and locating impactful stories that would otherwise be inaccessible.
In addition to being a reliable researcher and fact-checker who can present information in a range of formats (from creative decks to academically viable research documents), I have a proven record of supporting directors with more complex research, such as extracting and re-visualising data with spreadsheets to identifying valuable insights
My key areas of interest are History and True Crime, although I also have experience in sports and have worked on several independent projects. With extensive experience in genealogy and archival research, I am comfortable navigating digital platforms and physical archive libraries, with the skills to investigate primary and secondary source material. I thoroughly enjoy uncovering fascinating stories and developing story arcs from a range of primary source materials, as well as piecing together the incredible lives of people who lived in the past.
In True Crime shows, I have experience handling contributors - including on sensitive topics, as well as tracking down obscure people who may not have any records or media appearances for decades. I love getting into a good story and using my imperative to be creative in approaching research, and I am confident in finding solutions to any roadblocks that pop up (as they often do!). Having become proficient at utilising platforms like LexisNexis and 192 (to name a few), I am a reliable people finder and more than happy to pick up the phone and introduce myself.
I am always keen to seize an opportunity to lend my capabilities to in-house projects, for example, utilizing my foreign language abilities to acquire vintage archives from a Costa Rican broadcaster at Forest, and demonstrating versatility through voice-acting for multiple Spanish characters in my first podcast feature. Eager to step out of my comfort zone, I enjoy striving to break down barriers in production and build new experiences into my resume.
Having accumulated a wealth of experience as a Researcher/AP I am now looking to take on more responsibilities as an Assistant Producer, where I plan to continue surpassing expectations.
