At Channel 4, I was an in-house Exec., supporting commissioners and indies on a mix of features and fact. ent. shows, including: Escape to the Chateau, Food Unwrapped, Railway Restorations, £1 House, Can I Improve My Memory and My Family and the Galapagos. While Head of Features and Popular Factual for Keo Films, I developed, won and launched a raft of new shows, including the BBC3 ratings hit Bangkok Airport, and an eclectic mix of food programmes and travelogues with Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall, Yotam Ottolenghi, Nigella Lawson and the BAFTA nominated two-part special Victoria Wood’s Nice Cup of Tea (BBC1). I have multiple credits on shows that skew young, including: Teen Mom UK (MTV); Bangkok Airport (BBC3); Body Shockers (C4) and Joy of Teen Sex (C4). At Scarlet TV and Planet Wild (ITV subsidiary), I was responsible for creative strategy, business winning and all programming, including Delia Through the Decades & Delia's Christmas (BBC2), John Lennon Night (C4) - a themed evening featuring a star-studded music show and a 90-minute feature length doc - and the world exclusive film Diana: My Sister the Princess (BBC1) featuring unprecedented access to the Spencer family in the wake of Diana’s death. Alongside features and fact. ent. shows I have a strong track record in thought provoking, access led, popular factual programming, including: Adam Ant: The Madness of Prince Charming (C4), featuring exclusive access to the 80’s most talked about pop star and his battle with mental illness, and The Truth About George Best (C5) where George talks candidly in his last ever interview about alcohol, women and the beautiful game. I have extensive experience on high risk shows in hostile environments – the West Bank, China, Assam, and Bangkok during a period of civil unrest - and on programmes where duty of care to contributors is critical e.g. Bad Habits, Teen Mom UK and Joy of Teen Sex. I enjoy leading and inspiring teams to think creatively, I understand audiences, and keep a tight grip on budgets and compliance. I’m confident and experienced with talent - especially the difficult ones – and have great relationships with commissioners and agents. Before working in the Indie sector, I was an Executive at ITV where, as Editor of their flagship magazine show This Morning, I steered the team to RTS victory. I was Editorial Advisor on the ground-breaking Big Breakfast and I managed talent, PR and press campaigns on C4’s innovative soap opera Brookside.Outside of TV I am a Mum of two boys, I volunteer at the Christie Cancer Hospital and I’m restoring a farmhouse in Italy.
