I've just finished Series Producing on location in South Africa, making the 8 part documentary series Extreme Airport Africa for Paramount + and Smithsonian Channel.  This involved managing a team of 20, filming all over Southern Africa on a wide range of subjects from wildlife conservation, to emergency rescues and aircraft engineering.

I'm an experienced Grierson shortlisted Series Edit Producer, Series Producer, and Director with extensive primetime factual, specialist factual and documentary credits for all the major broadcasters both in the UK and US. I'm well versed in the entire production process, from concept through to location shoots, running edits and overseeing final post right up to delivery.

In the edit, I've cut multi-series formats, made single docs and feature docs without commentary such as "Surgeons - A matter of Life and Death" for C5. 

I've a proven track record in heading up large happy teams while simultaneously driving multiple edits, often with archive. I'm a very organised, creative, diplomatic, people person with a positive, calm, can-do attitude.

I've SP'd many prime time factual shows including 8 x 60' fact ent docs "Richard Hammond's Workshop" for Discovery +,  the 11 x 60' formatted docs "Hornby - a model world" for UK TV and Series Edit Produced 12 x 60' obs doc series for Discovery "Contraband: Seized at Sea". I've extensive experience dealing with access, working with contributors and directing A list talent such as Richard Hammond, Sir Alan Titchmarsh, Davina McCall, George Clarke and Bettany Hughes. 

Alongside my production work I offer TV production training for the industry delivering courses in person and online for ScreenSkills, DV Talent, BBC Academy and Screen Scotland.

* I've managed teams both large and small, making single topical documentary films to managing 11 part series as an SP while simultaneously cutting some of the films myself.

* I've worked with high profile talent from presenters to historians and newscasters and also nurtured new talent to deliver their best on screen. 

* I've managed and delivered successful, high rating films on a wide variety of topics from engineering, to mental health issues, and complex historical subjects.

* I have cut hundreds of hours of TV, making my own assemblies on avid and Blackbird, and getting across hours of rushes to find the gold. 

* I'm a true all-rounder: my work combines creativity and visual flair with a high level of organisation, and also a rigorous approach to content.

* I've set up and directed filming in challenging locations both in the UK and overseas.

* I enjoy writing scripts as well as honing commentary.

* I'm also practical: a highly organised and reliable producer, coming in on time and within budget.

* I'm BBC-trained so highly proficient at Health & Safety planning and management on location.

* I have made many productions with major US co-producers (Discovery, PBS, Paramount, TLC and Smithsonian) so am well-versed in the skill of making several versions at once.
