Since discovering such characters as Tom & Jerry or Road Runner and Wilecoyote along with all their animated chums, I've considered myself very much a student of animation. It wasnt until later in life that I saw an opportunity to fulfil the boyhood dream and took a chance and applied to a BA University Course in computer animation, lady luck shone down on me that day and I was given a chance!
some 3 years later I'd gained my degree, and within a few months of graduating I held my first job role as a professional animator ! That was 2007 :D
Over the past 14 years I have been very lucky to have been a part of many projects, covering Video games, Television and Features! All of which has given me an invaluable list of experiences which I can draw from and apply to the new challenges that come with new projects!
I very much still consider myself a student, not just regarding the principles of animation but with regard to workflow, studio piplines, asset managers and software and all the other seemingly 'little' details . So I find myself always eager to work with new studios, enthusiastic to meet fellow animators both old and young, always looking for 'top tips' with any of the aforementioned facets that I can take away to apply when working on any future animation projectsAs far as my personal life, I guess I would fall under a very 'happy family man' category, I have a beautful partner who I share two beautiful kids with, we enjoy a healthy active lifestyle.
